Pastor Brian Bradford is the founding and lead pastor of Rocket City Church. He is married to Shannon, and they have three kids, ranging from elementary to high school age. They met while living in West Michigan, and now, they love calling north Alabama home. A native of Louisiana, Brian loves rooting for his favorite Cajun sports teams, eating fresh seafood, and drinking good coffee. He has been the lead pastor at churches in Texas and Illinois, and he has his doctorate degree in organizational leadership. Brian and Shannon love watching God move in the lives of the people at Rocket City Church and seeing people come to know and follow Jesus in transformational ways.

A native of Tipton, Indiana, Pastor Bryan Purvis is a newly retired Naval officer, husband (to Andrea), and father of AJ and Sophie. Bryan holds two advanced degrees and has advanced experience in personal training and life coaching. In his free time, he enjoys drinking coffee, playing golf, and cheering on his beloved Kentucky Wildcats. Bryan and Andrea are excited to finally plant roots in a local community after traveling the world in service to our country. 

Jonathan has had a passion to serve the local church in many different roles over the past 12 years, from preaching, production, leading worship, and simply handing out a cup of coffee when guests walk in the door. He says, "There is just something incredible about being able to witness someone give their life to Jesus and see their life change forever." If he's not chasing his daughter around the house or hanging with his wife, you can catch him on his guitar, playing with the latest in tech, enjoying a video game, cooking up a new food recipe he saw on YouTube, or grabbing some coffee with friends.

Amberlee is a Madison City native, so the Rocket City is near and dear to her heart. She is married to Brandon, who also grew up in this area, in March of 2012. They moved away for several years, but they love Madison so much that they returned in 2018. Together, they have 3 beautiful children: Carter, Carson, and Cora Mae. She grew up in church and gave her life to Christ at the age of 8. She is passionate about leading kids and adults to Jesus and His abundant grace. Child-like faith always strengthens her faith. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her close friends, watching a classic kids movie with her kiddos, going on dates with the hubs, and decor shopping. Amberlee loves any shade of blue, chocolate, and cookies. Fall is her favorite season because of pumpkin spice, chili, and, of course, SEC football.

Ryan moved from upstate New York to Madison, AL in 2000, where he attended Bob Jones High School and was a 7-time state champion in swimming. He took an athletic scholarship to the University of Tennessee in 2003 and qualified for Olympic Trials there. In subsequent years Ryan would be called to work in the field of addiction counseling, after finding freedom in Christ from his own struggles. He took on a position with S2L as a Peer Recovery Specialist and became a certified Biblical Counselor through North Alabama Biblical Counseling. Ryan now enjoys adventures with his wife, Nancy, and son, Levi; racing endurance sports; and playing the piano.

Shannon moved to Madison from Vidalia, GA, in 2021. She is married to Daniel and has 2 kids, Asher and Ashlyn. She has a bachelor’s degree in Christian Studies from Brewton-Parker College and has worked in ministry for over 20 years in every area from being a worship leader, to a youth director, to a small group leader. Shannon loves spending time with friends, coffee, traveling, Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, and her dog, Lady.

Kimberly moved to Madison from San Diego, CA in 2022.  She enjoys spending time with her husband, Joel and their sons, Zane and Joshua.  She has worked and volunteered in many areas of ministry over the years, and recently retired from ~20 years in commercial real estate.  Whenever she can, she loves to go to college baseball, basketball, and football games; travel; and watch live music.  And of course, she loves to watch San Diego Padres games, especially when they’re playing her husband’s team, the LA Dodgers!

Shannon Bradford loves her husband, Brian, and their 3 kids, Halle, Lily, and Titus.  You can find her grabbing coffee with friends, eating pizza, organizing anything, shopping, or just having fun!  When she's not planning events or energetic games to get people out of their comfort zone, she's finishing her MBA, selling houses, and making people feel at home!
