Safety Policies

We recognize the trust placed in us when parents drop their children off at RCC Kids, and we want to honor that trust through the precautions we take to protect them.

We require all of our staff and RCC Kids volunteers to pass not only a criminal background check, but also an Alabama DHR inquiry for reported abuse and neglect.

We restrict access to the RCC Kids wing throughout the morning. The only people permitted to access the wing un-escorted are those who are registered to serve that morning, or parents/guardians who possess a dated, coded sticker corresponding to a checked-in child or children.

RCC is committed to providing a safe and distraction-free environment for everyone present on Sunday mornings, so that they can relax, focus, and encounter God. Protecting each other well is a collective effort, but RCC maintains a dedicated crew and law enforcement presence to oversee that mission.

To keep you safe, we are following state COVID guidelines, including:

• Masks are welcome, but not required.
• Hand sanitizer can be found throughout the building.
• Connect Cards and Giving is available virtually.
• All auditorium rows are spaced 6’ apart.

During the COVID 19 global pandemic, we have prayed, sought wise counsel, and consistently followed the state and local guidelines, meanwhile keeping an eye towards the CDC recommendations for houses of worship. After much prayer, and per our state's recommendations, our current policy is: "masks are welcome, but not required." We have ample seating in our main auditorium, and with two service options, distancing continues to be a possibility for those choosing to join us in person. We recommend continued social distancing and staying at home if showing symptoms. Our online experience is always an option.
