Grow: Day 12

Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.
Romans 12:2 TPT

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV

What's the purpose of growth? Transformation.

Now that we know why we should grow and how growth happens, let's look at the benefits of growth. In other words, "What’s the purpose of growth?" Our first reason is that it transforms us into God's image. If you have trouble hearing God’s response to today’s prayer points, tune your ear to His voice by re-reading the Scriptures above.

● Just as a seed transforms into a seedling and eventually into a mature plant through growth, the Holy Spirit can transform us into mature believers who are able to discern His will. Ask God to remind you of the area where He wants you to grow over these 21 days. (Look back at your Day 1 notes if you need a reminder!) Then spend some time reflecting on how you've already grown in that area during these first 12 days.

● Just as a plant's transformation takes time, so does ours! It is a lifelong process to be transformed into His image. Ask God to bring to mind a second area in which He would like you to start growing during this season.

● The best way to prevent diseases & pests from harming your garden is to raise healthy plants, because healthy plants are able to fend off enemies better than plants that are just trying to stay alive. Ask God what area of your life He would like to strengthen, so that you are able to better resist the enemy. See page 18 in the RCC Prayer Guide for more information on spiritual warfare.
